At BalsamPath Roses we sell hardy, low maintenance shrub
roses.
We emphasize winter hardiness,
disease resistance, fragrance,
a variety of colors, and a variety of mature
sizes in our roses.
We grow
and sell shrub roses hardy in Zones 2, and Zone 3,
and a few Zone 4 roses proven to be hardy
with a little extra care.
We continue to
look for and test new roses for excellence
in cold hardiness, fragrance, and
beauty.
We may give to you,
our customers, certain test roses,
to grow for us in your own
gardens
and ask for your feedback
as to their strengths and weaknesses.
We will use this information to help choose
our next rose selections.

A word about
descriptions, care, and prices...
Even in the most severe
winters...
A rose is hardy if it doesn't lose a cane.
A rose is
hardy if it only dies back to the snow line.
A rose is hardy even if it
dies back to the crown
and comes back true every summer.
Give your
rose enough time to show it is hardy.
Never say die 'til the fourth of
July.
Proper growing conditions are essential for maintaining
disease
resistance and insuring maximum growth.
Just as a reminder,
though......disease resistance does not mean disease proof.
